My advisor provides me with standard quarterly performance reports for my advisory program accounts and one that consolidates all of my accounts in one place. What are the differences in these reports?
Clients who invest in investment advisory programs through Northwestern Mutual Investment Services or Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company receive a quarterly performance report that is delivered directly to their address of record. This report is the "official" report that compares advisory program account performance to a customized account performance benchmark for the account. In addition to the official report, Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisors have access to a reporting system known as The Northwestern Mutual Investment Services Consolidated Investment Reporting system. This system has the ability to consolidate different client accounts in one place to help clients see their overall picture. While the reports contain similar account information, there are some differences in how they calculate performance and display that information. To help provide more information on the program account reports you receive from your advisor, you can click on the link below to download a short brochure that provides an overview of both reports. Your financial advisor is available to take the time to review the information in this brochure and answer any questions you may have regarding your performance reports.
