The Access Fund is a safe, interest-bearing account opened in your name from the proceeds of a death claim. It is provided at no cost to you. Interest begins the day the account opens and continues to accrue until the account closes. Your Access Fund checkbook will arrive promptly upon approval of your claim, and you can begin writing checks the same day it arrives. It couldn't be easier or more convenient. You can take as much time as you need to evaluate your financial needs, while still having full and immediate access to your funds. While there is no minimum rate, you will earn a competitive short-term interest rate on your account balance in the Access Fund.

- Need an ID? Forgot your password? Call the Northwestern Mutual Access Fund Service Center at (800) 635-8855.
- Hours of service are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday.
- Can't log in? For your security, after three invalid log in attempts your ID will be disabled. To reinstate your ID, call the Northwestern Mutual Access Fund Service Center at (800) 635-8855.
- Session timed out? After approximately 30 minutes of inactivity, you will be automatically logged off.
